Tier 3 · Advanced

For the palms you cannot afford to lose

Advanced is the full program for high-value, disease-susceptible palms. It is everything in Standard, plus protective root and bud drenches against palmetto weevil and lethal bronzing. For palms where a single loss is the expensive outcome, this is the tier that earns its keep.

The palms most often raised to Advanced

Every palm enters at Monitor. Our arborist most often recommends Advanced for Sylvester, Medjool, Canary Island date and Bismarck palms. Sylvester, Medjool, and Canary Island date palms are slow-growing, expensive, and susceptible to both Fusarium wilt and lethal bronzing. Bismarck palms are slow and costly to replace as well. Signature palms are slow to grow and costly to replace, and a replacement never brings back the years of growth. The arborist makes that call on inspection; species is guidance only. A palm that is both valuable and susceptible should not stay on monitoring alone, because the cost of losing one is far higher than years of care.

What is included
✓ Everything in Standard
✓ Protective root and bud drenches against palmetto weevil and lethal bronzing
✓ Full inspection and documentation
Cadence: 4 times a year for commercial and HOA. 6 times a year for residential.
A drench after a storm or freeze is billed separately.
At every tier: a disease call is confirmed in a lab first (a Ganoderma conk confirms itself), and every treatment visit is recorded on body camera.
How we manage them

What the full program actually looks like

Advanced is not more injection. It is more vigilance, more confirmation, and more proof that the work was done.

Feed and protect first

Nutrition built for the palm, plus protective root and bud drenches against palmetto weevil and lethal bronzing. We strengthen and defend before we ever consider injecting.

What we are protecting against

Palmetto weevil can collapse a Bismarck's crown, often before the damage is visible from the ground. Once the crown is gone, the palm cannot be saved. Advanced exists to catch that risk early on the palms that carry it.

Verify every treatment

Crews wear body cameras during treatment. A protocol that calls for nine to twelve injection sites and gets three is a failed treatment, even when the work order says complete.

Lethal bronzing is the reason this tier exists
The high-value Phoenix palms on this list are the ones lethal bronzing hits hardest, and it has no cure. Our protocol is built around catching it early, confirming it, and limiting its spread. Read our lethal bronzing protocol.

After a storm, a lift puts the crew at the canopy. Damaged canopies are sprayed and the bud can get a protective drench, billed separately.
