Who we serve
One plan for the people who answer for the trees.

Homeowners:we serve you too
The gap
Two contracts. Neither one watches your palms and trees.
Landscape maintenance covers everything up to about 12 feet. A tree service prunes and removes. Nobody is responsible for palm health.
We are. Pruning and removals come in the same plan, so one team answers for every palm and tree.
“This has taken me 30 years to figure out how to incorporate healthcare, tree pruning, and removal all in the same package. The key is planning.”
Jeff Kaulbars, ISA Certified Arborist

What the plan covers
Health care, pruning and removals. One plan, one team.
Whoever you are, the plan underneath is the same.
Health care
Monitor, Manage, Protect- Every palm and tree mapped in our GIS inventory. Size, condition grades and photos are added by service.
- Scheduled inspections: 4 a year for communities and commercial sites, 6 for homes.
- Nutrition and protection by tier (Monitor, Standard, Advanced), palm by palm.
- Watching for more than twenty pests, diseases and disorders at every visit.
- A lab test before any disease call. Lab fees pass through at cost.
Pruning
Palms and trees, to a written standard- Palm pruning to the 9-and-3 standard, timed by species.
- Seed pods and fruit taken before they drop, on a named schedule.
- Sterilized handsaws where Fusarium wilt is a risk.
- Tree pruning by written prescription to ANSI A300. No canopy lifted where nothing needs clearance.
- Structural training on young trees, so storms do less damage later.
Removals
Planned, documented, permitted- No removal without a certified arborist’s written determination.
- Removals planned by size class, so they sit in the budget, not in an emergency.
- Stump grinding, with a Sunshine 811 ticket placed before any digging.
- A tree risk assessment (TRAQ) behind any risk call, ready for a county permit.
- Storm response with every tree assessed by number.
How it starts
Four steps to a 10-year plan your board can use.
- 01Assess and map
Every palm and tree, mapped by species in our GIS inventory.
- 02Write the standard
What gets done, how often, and to what standard.
- 03Pick a level
For each program: the floor, Protect what matters or the full program. Most start at the floor.
- 04Build the budget
An estimate for each year, built from the counts and reviewed each budget season.
Questions
Questions before you pick a page
We are a district, but our community is master-planned. Which page is ours?
Both apply. The district page covers public budgets and meetings; the master-planned page covers phases and new plantings. The plan underneath is the same.
Do you only do palm health care?
No. Health care, pruning, removals and storm response, in one plan with one team.
Where does your pricing sit?
Sabal palms (cabbage palms) are the palm we prune most, tens of thousands a year. Our sabal pruning averages about $27.50 a palm in HOA and master-planned communities, and about $34 a palm on golf courses. Palm health care typically runs about 2 to 3 percent of a community’s landscape maintenance budget. Your own price comes from your counts.
What areas do you serve?
Florida from Orlando south. Our core is Naples, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero, Port Charlotte and Sarasota, and we also serve the Treasure Coast.
Who is behind the plan?
Jeff Kaulbars, ISA Certified Arborist #FL-10118A, Tree Risk Assessment Qualified and Prescription Pruning Qualified. Treatments are made under our licensed Florida pest control business.
