Our program

Three tiers. Monitoring is the floor.

Our program comes in three tiers: Monitor, Standard, and Advanced. Monitoring is the minimum every community should have. Mid-value palms add a nutrition program. High-value, disease-susceptible palms earn the full program, with protective root and bud drenches against palmetto weevil and lethal bronzing.

One palm, graded on every visit

A Medjool brought back to Normal.

A Medjool date palm at the front of a gated community struggled after it was transplanted. It was not getting enough water at the start, and its new growth came in dwarfed. On the program it got bud and soil drenches in the summer of 2025 and regular feedings throughout. Our team graded it at each visit and photographed it the same way.

Grades are from our inspection records for this palm. Not every palm comes back. Grading on every visit shows the board which way each one is headed.

Monitoring is the floor, not the budget option

Most communities run on the do-nothing default: no one is watching the palms until one is clearly failing. Monitoring replaces that. A quarterly canopy visual by trained eyes is the floor of proactive care, because you cannot manage what no one is watching. It is the cheapest insurance there is against a five- and six-figure loss.

The Advanced list

The palms you cannot afford to lose

Every palm enters at Monitor. Our arborist most often recommends Advanced for Sylvester, Medjool, Canary Island date and Bismarck palms. The date palms are slow-growing and susceptible to both Fusarium wilt and lethal bronzing. A signature palm is slow to grow and costly to replace, and a replacement never brings back the years of growth.

A palm that is both valuable and susceptible should never sit on monitoring alone, because the cost of losing one is far higher than years of care. There is a useful way to think about it: in a typical plan, it takes about 20 to 30 years before the cost of treatment equals the cost of replacing a single tree. Care is the cheaper path by a wide margin.

Trunk damage around old injection sites
Damage around old injection sites. A palm does not wall off a wound the way a tree does, so every hole is permanent. Why we inject last

Why we lead with monitoring and nutrition, not routine injection

A common pitch in our market is to inject every palm with an antibiotic every few months as standing prevention. We do not run blanket injection programs, and the reason is in the biology. Palms are monocots. They cannot wall off a wound the way a tree does, so every injection is a permanent hole that adds up over the years. On top of that, most palms being injected do not have the disease at all.

So we lead with what actually keeps palms healthy: nutrition, vector control, and monitoring, and we confirm disease in a lab before we treat. Injection has a place, but a narrow one, reserved for a palm that is genuinely irreplaceable and only when testing supports it. That is a judgment a certified arborist makes case by case, not a default applied to a whole property.

A note on residential
Our work is built for communities, but we do take on select residential properties with high-value palms worth protecting. If that is you, the same program applies, scaled to your property.
Start with an assessment

Build a program for your property

Our trained field team walks your community and rates the palms that matter. An ISA Certified Arborist matches each one to the right tier. That is where every program starts.
