Palm and tree questions

How much does it cost to trim a palm tree in Florida?

Sabal (cabbage) palms are the palm we prune most, tens of thousands a year. Our sabal pruning averages about $27.50 a palm in HOA and master-planned communities, and about $34 a palm on golf courses.

What changes the price

Species, height, access and how many palms are on the property. Thorny date palms, tall palms and palms over buildings or water take more time than a cabbage palm in an open common area.

Some work is priced on its own line: royal palm banding, tool sterilization for date palms, removals, and treatment or nutrition.

Counted, not guessed

Every palm we care for is in our GIS inventory by species and height band, so the scope is counted and every invoice can be checked against it. Your own number comes from your count.

What the price should cover

Dead fronds, spent stalks, seed pods and every frond below the 9-and-3 line off. Nothing above the line cut. Boots trimmed, never skinned. Everything raked up and hauled off the same day. A cheaper bid that strips green fronds costs the palm more than it saves.
